Welcome to Feed Our Communities CIC
Feed Our Communities CIC is a community enterprise tackling poverty, inequality and environmental decline through practical, regenerative solutions. We believe that when people have access to good food, meaningful opportunities, supportive learning environments and thriving local economies, their health improves — and so do their futures.
Our work brings people together to build skills, confidence and community resilience across four interconnected strands:

Food, Nature and Community
Real projects. Real impact. Real change.
The environment shapes our health.
Our health shapes our opportunities.
And our opportunities shape our future.
By improving the environments people live in — from food systems to learning spaces — we help create healthier lives, stronger communities and long‑term change.
Our Food, Nature & Community strand focuses on practical, regenerative solutions that communities can see, feel and benefit from. We work with people to design food systems that restore land, improve wellbeing and build resilience.

Employment and Enterprise
We support people into meaningful work — including self‑employment, ethical enterprise and flexible roles that fit their lives. Our employment strand also delivers paid services that support our mission and strengthen local economies.
We work with any small enterprise, not just CICs, because local businesses are the backbone of community resilience. When small enterprises thrive, communities thrive.
This strand includes:
- permaculture design services
- business consultancy & strategic solutions
- virtual assistance for small enterprises, CICs and charities
- pathways into meaningful work and enterprise
Good work builds independence, confidence and financial inclusion

Education and Skills
We provide inclusive, accessible learning opportunities that empower people to develop new skills, explore land‑based activities and build healthier lifestyles. Our education work is shaped by the needs and experiences of the people we support.
This strand includes:
- permaculture and ecological design courses
- community learning
- talks, workshops and events
- nature‑based skills development
Learning opens doors — for individuals, families and whole communities.

Research and Healthy Environments
Our research explores the relationship between environment and health, helping us understand the root causes of inequality and develop practical, sustainable solutions. This evidence guides all our work and ensures our projects respond to real community needs.
We focus on:
- environmental health
- ecological resilience
- food system inequality
- community‑led research
- accessible, data‑driven solutions
Research ensures our work is grounded, effective and accountable
