Four interconnected strands shaping regenerative, inclusive futures
Feed Our Communities CIC delivers work across four core areas that strengthen community resilience, expand access to opportunity, and support ecological wellbeing. Each strand is grounded in lived experience, accessibility, ethical practice and regenerative principles.
Our work recognises that food, environment, education and employment are deeply connected. By improving the ecological and social environments people live in — and by expanding access to skills, learning and meaningful work — we help create healthier, more resilient and more inclusive futures.
Below are the four strands that shape our mission.
Nature, Food & Community (Agroecology and Permaculture)
We explore how ecological food systems, land‑based learning and nature‑connected wellbeing can support healthier lives and stronger communities. Our work includes agroecology, regenerative permaculture, ecological design, mixed‑ecology systems, and accessible land‑based activity. This strand also includes our Inclusive Ecological Food Systems Feasibility Project, funded by National Lottery Awards for All.
Employment & Regenerative Work Futures
We support people into meaningful, flexible and values‑led work through ecological consultancy, regenerative organisational development and accessible virtual assistance pathways. Our employment strand helps people build confidence, skills and sustainable self‑employment opportunities shaped around their needs and strengths.
Education, Learning and Community Knowledge
We design accessible, inclusive and values‑led learning that supports ecological understanding, community resilience and personal development. Our education strand explores nature‑based learning, ecological literacy, community workshops, and future members‑only webinars with guest speakers.
Research, Insight & Community-Led Understanding
We explore how food systems, land‑use, accessibility, culture and community experience shape people’s relationship with nature, opportunity and wellbeing. Our research strand includes feasibility studies, lived‑experience insight, ecological themes, and values‑led exploration that informs future regenerative practice.
