Welcome to Feed Our Communities CIC

Feed Our Communities CIC is building a sustainable community ecosystem where:
- People can eat
- People can learn
- People can work
- People can participate
- People can shape the future
These elements form a regenerative cycle, where each part strengthens the others and helps people live well, contribute and belong.

The Feed Our Communities Cycle
Food → Wellbeing → Learning
When people can eat well, they have the health, energy and confidence needed to learn, grow and take part in community life.

Learning → Skills → Employment
Learning builds skills and capability, opening pathways into employment, self‑employment and meaningful contribution.

Work → Stability → Food
Employment and small business support create financial stability, improving food affordability and reducing food insecurity.

Participation → Voice → Better Systems
When people participate, they influence decisions and shape the systems around them — from food access to local opportunities.

Research → Insight → Better Food, Work & Learning
Community‑led research identifies barriers and opportunities, improving how we design food systems, learning pathways and employment support.

Together, these elements create a cycle where each part feeds the next, building a healthier, fairer and more resilient community.

Land, Food and People

I’m developing a fully accessible, community‑led permaculture site that brings together food growing, environmental learning and inclusive enterprise.
This space is designed to support people of all backgrounds and abilities to connect with land, build skills and shape a fairer, more resilient future.

The project focuses on:

  • regenerative food growing
  • adaptive agroecology
  • composting and soil health
  • biodiversity restoration
  • nature‑connected wellbeing
  • inclusive enterprise and skills development

I’m currently seeking funding to establish a steering group so the project can be co‑designed by the people it’s for.
This early‑stage work lays the foundations for a future agroecology farm and education centre rooted in care, dignity and ecological renewal.

•     Systems setup & organisation
•     Workflow and resource coordination
•     Light consultancy around planning, structure and sustainable working practices.

I have a particular interest in supporting people moving from unemployment into self‑employment, helping them build confidence, structure and stability in their work.

Education: Permaculture & Environmental Learning

I offer permaculture and environmental education for individuals, communities and organisations who want to design more sustainable, people‑centred ways of living and working.

This includes:

  • introductory permaculture courses
  • community‑focused and applied permaculture
  • practical workshops on land‑based skills
  • learning that links land, food, community and livelihoods

I’m also developing accredited pathways so that this learning can be formally recognised and more widely accessible.

Research: Practice, Learning & Collaboration

Research runs through all areas of my work.

I’m interested in:

  • how land‑based projects can support fairer employment and enterprise
  • how food, nature and community spaces impact wellbeing and resilience
  • practical, on‑the‑ground approaches to agroecology, composting and regenerative systems
  • models that reduce exclusion and financial hardship through inclusive, sustainable design

This research is both practical and collaborative — emerging from real projects, partnerships and lived experience, rather than being separate from everyday life.
