Food, Nature & Community
Real projects. Real impact. Real change.
The environment shapes our health.
Our health shapes our opportunities.
And our opportunities shape our future.
By improving the environments people live in — from food systems to learning spaces — we help create healthier lives, stronger communities and long‑term change.
Food, Nature & Community is where we design and deliver practical, regenerative solutions that people can see, feel and benefit from. Our work connects food, health and environment in ways that strengthen wellbeing, restore land and build resilience.
Our Approach
Our work is shaped by:
- lived experience
- ecological design
- community involvement
- accessibility and inclusion
- evidence and practical insight
We believe food systems should restore land, support wellbeing and strengthen local communities — not exclude people or harm ecosystems.

Our Work
Future Food Design (Current Project)
A multi‑strand exploration of ethical, regenerative and accessible food systems.
This includes:
- regenerative land‑use design
- community‑led growing and nature‑based learning
- sustainable and circular food systems
- exploring future opportunities for coastal and aquatic food resilience
- designing accessible, inclusive land‑based activities
Future Food Design is the foundation for a long‑term regenerative site shaped by community needs and ecological principles.

Pilot Project: Allotment Food Security Pilot (2013–2018)
A five‑year pilot exploring whether small‑scale community growing could meaningfully support food access and wellbeing.
The findings now guide our move toward more scalable, inclusive and regenerative models that support long‑term food security.

Our Values
Accessibility: Everyone should be able to participate in land‑based learning and food system change.
Ethics: Food systems must be humane, low‑impact and socially responsible.
Regeneration: Healthy ecosystems support healthy communities.
Evidence: We design from research, lived experience and ecological insight.
Inclusion: Projects are co‑designed with people who are most often excluded.

Our Commitment
We design food systems with integrity — where nourishment reflects care, ecological balance, and inclusion. Protein is part of a wider landscape of regenerative practice, accessible design, and community resilience. These models evolve as our farm site grows and as our communities shape what comes next.
Feed Our Communities CIC is dedicated to building lasting food security through land restoration, accessible education, and values-led farming practices.
